Coach Nick Feraci

Coach Nick lives in Corpus Christi, Texas and is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach. Like Coach Lauren and Coach Blaine, Nick has been an athlete his whole life. Nick’s triathlon racing career started in 2012 and he quickly went from an “I have no idea what I’m doing” newbie to a podium level athlete and 70.3 World Championship Qualifying athlete. 

In 2020, Nick began to coach local athletes to give back to the triathlon community. Nick enjoyed the task of integrating what he had been learning from his coaches Mateo Mercur and Lauren Vallee and applying it to others. 

In 2023, the Valiant Endurance squad traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii to race Ironman 70.3 Honu. At this race, Lauren saw a different side of Nick. His attitude and presence elevate those around him. This was in part one of the reasons that Nick was asked to join the Valiant Endurance Coaching Team.

Coach Lauren Vallee said, “I am so excited to bring Nick on as a coach. He has an infectious spirit and this great ability to bring a variety of personalities together. He’s got the best sense of humor and a caring heart. He is as disciplined in his own training as he is when working with others. I’ve also been impressed with his constant desire to learn and develop new skills. That’s something you don’t always find in coaches.”

We are thrilled to bring Nick on board as a coach in 2024 to help intermediate level athletes take their performance to the next level. 

Nick is a unique leader on our team. Nick served in the United States Marine Corps after graduating High School. His experience in the Marine Corps set the foundation to his approach as a coach. He excels at helping athletes develop the level of commitment needed for breakthrough performances. As a Marine, leadership is in Nick’s blood, but so is motivating others, and perhaps most importantly, he knows how to collaborate to get a job done - and to get that job done right. 

Currently Nick works as a Senior Aviation Accident Investigator for the Department of Defense.  His attention to detail and ability to problem solve are an invaluable asset as a coach.
